Choosing the Right Connection

Yellowspring offer a range of connectivity options to suit your business needs, from standard ADSL to Leased Line, via Ethernet First Mile (EFM) and Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC).

Both business broadband and leased line services provide internet access at a fixed monthly price. However, services vary both in price and performance. Business broadband is a cost effective way of connecting to the internet but does have its drawbacks.

Your connection is shared with other users and bandwidth is variable - meaning it is faster for downloads than upload. Speed is also subject to the condition of BT cables and the distance from your local exchange.

A leased line is a dedicated connection with fixed bandwidth, offering identical performance for download and upload, so it is ideal if you are using Cloud services.

A more expensive option, leased lines are not subject to contention, offer faster speeds and are covered by stringent SLAs.
