Are you a Google email user? Is it time to change?
It has been widely publicised over the last few weeks that Google is making some significant changes to its privacy policy settings.
These changes will see users of Gmail and Google + accounts being more susceptible to spam mail. Users of Google’s social network will be able to email other Google email users without actually knowing their email address. These changes to the privacy policy settings are in place now!
The changes have sparked much debate in the online community over whether businesses can afford to be affected by the potential influx of junk mail, unsolicited spam and general disruptive nature of this relaxed security.
Is the Microsoft offering a viable alternative? The Office 365 user base is growing fast in the UK. Recent additions to the licence plans now available have seen growing interest in businesses that want to start dipping their toe in the water of Cloud Computing.
If your business is currently using the Google platform, perhaps this might be time to consider Microsoft’s cloud solution as a more secure and less intrusive alternative?
Microsoft Office 365 plans are available from just £2.60 per user, per month for hosted Exchange Server. Other subscription plans are available that include a local user copy of the latest version of Office, as well as plans including SharePoint Online and Lync Online.
